To Transform the Way the World Locks Bikes
Josh Taylor founded the Revival Bike Co. to make cycling easier through innovative design. While studying Policy, Politics & Economics at the University of Birmingham, he created the RB Stand—a new bike locking system that’s already gained recognition in competitions and international pitches. With a background in leadership, community work, and entrepreneurship, Josh brings passion, creativity, and real-world experience to driving Revival Bike Co. forward.
Josh’s leadership experience is extensive and varied. As Chair of the University of Birmingham Christian Union, he leads a team of student leaders in strategic planning, event organisation, and community outreach, gaining hands-on experience in team management, delegation, and operational leadership within a fast-paced environment.
In his role with Scripture Union, Josh contributes to governance and strategic direction as a member of the Scripture Union Council. He also helps lead annual camps, where he plans activities, delivers talks, and provides pastoral care, honing skills in project management, public speaking, and interpersonal skills, all key abilities that support his approach to building Revival Bike Co.
During two years of full time voluntary work as Schools and Youth Outreach Coordinator for the Pais Movement, Josh managed and grew school partnerships significantly, oversaw a team delivering ministry across multiple schools, and took responsibility for safeguarding practices. This role strengthened his expertise in team leadership, programme management, risk assessment, and operational governance, all critical for managing a growing business.
Josh’s professional experience includes work with Moto Hospitality and a six-week placement with West Midlands Mayor Sir Andy Street, providing practical insight into customer service, leadership, and public engagement.
Recognised with Wetherby Town Council’s Jubilee Award for community service, Josh combines a passion for innovation with strong organisational skills and a commitment to social impact.
